Biography
Richenda Gould is a multimedia freelancer based in the NJ/NY/PA region. A Jill-of-all-Trades, Richenda has focused her talents in the written word and graphic/web design. Her clients include small businesses, artists, and non-profits. She has a reputation as a responsible, timely, honest, and organized worker. Never satisfied with the status quo, she streamlines systems and always has an eye to how the client will manage the project once the contract is over.
Richenda attended Eugene Lang College, the New School for Liberal Arts, where she received a well-rounded education. Though she concentrated in Fiction, Richenda also spent considerable time in the Media Studies department and is a founding member of TheNewCampus.org, a student-based community and media initiative. In her senior year, Richenda organized the first Bite Your Tongue Showcase, with over 300 attendees. Her senior thesis was a piece of fiction, titled The Sword Smith’s Lady. Richenda has always enjoyed teaching and editing, and worked as both an RA and a peer advisor in college, and co-founded a website in 2003 for young writers to share their work and receive honest critique.

On a more personal note…
Her name is pronounced rih-shen-da, and is the feminine of Richard. Gould rhymes with “ruled.”
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Richenda’s parents brought her to the US as an infant. Richenda considers herself a global citizen, and is grateful for the many perspectives she has been exposed to throughout her life. This includes the gift of Monty Python.
Richenda is a strong believer in womens’ rights, and has both performed in and promoted The Vagina Monologues and accompanying programs. Her fiction often examines the roles of men and women.
